SRS builds... What are the different benefits of each playstyle? So we have 3 SRS build types as far as I know you have the basics based on hit (Crit, Elem etc) you have popcorn the poison seems to be in its own category
Are some better than others?
Poison seems to be pretty easy to scale up, maybe I don't understand the small details very well, but secret chaos damage, chance to poison almost 100 minions and summon 20 fast hit minions to corner it's quick. links also let them weaken when they touch...
On the other hand, you can make use of the fact that they deal 100% fire damage, stack a bunch of ghastly eyes with flat fire, and can get some solid hits there. Popcorn explodes 33% of minions' lives in an AE... With the new Hell Helmet you can accumulate a lot of fire resistance and take a pretty solid amount of damage when the explosion... I thought the Original that the belt leaves for burning the ground when a minion dies would be great for this (think of the Blight meteor tower rings) but reading it doesn't have much scale... So where does popcorn fill in? Is there any reason for me to play popcorn, such as poison? I think mobs are generally less resistant to chaos, so it looks like it can expand into anything until you hit the poison point limit?
Just looking for general info I've started making srs necrotic popcorn and am having a bit of a hard time seeing what exactly it will be good for, both poison and the shot would probably have a better single target a lot, so what does popcorn bring to others 2?
Help if you share your character so we can see if the setup is good or not.
As far as I can tell, since I don't need to go there on my league debut, popcorn is a pretty solid way to increase late game damage with minimal gear (except helmets). dangerous, seems to fix the object). Popcorn is a good all-rounder, with a good aim, I think. A new helmet should have improved it? In fact, when looking at ninjas, very few builds actually use helmets.
The hit-based SRS is currently there until you can do an actual build (though I know there are people who like this build) which seems pretty weak late game. Seems to be about 2x more common than popcorn on ninja, but both are only about 15%-85% toxic.
PoisonSRS is one of the current meta plays for a reason, it's strong. The poison has very fine scales, and the structure accumulates a lot in it. We don't really convert damage to poe chaos (we still shoot 100%, you can't convert that to chaos for minions), we just add some crap to the chaos and rely on the effect. high damage results and into the additional damage modifier plus SRS - and inherently good attack speed - to effectively detox. The same setup can be used for almost any other minion, his only SRS is extremely effective for this.
What does any build bring to Poe? I hope it brings joy to those who play it. Other than that, it doesn't seem to yield anything - that's why its adoption rate is low.
If your popcorn is well equipped and underperforming, you can get 20 million solid poison DPS for about 10 divs, upgrade to a DoT cap with 20 and max defense with 30 or so.
