The west is missing a bond with Smilegate

Communication to the west is handled by The publisher AGS. There is no clear route of communication, and or figurehead as Gold River was to the Korean player base. The closest that we can find is Roxx and she's stuck in the plight of playing the role of a middleman in the game of phone between the Korean developers and the team that published Lost Ark at AGS.

I believe this is the reason the reason why communication isn't great from AGS. They only relay what they've received from the Smilegate developers. Smilegate. AGS absorbs the bulk of feedback from the community and isn't able to communicate it effectively to Smilegate.


I recall back during the time leading up to launch there was a lot of talk about the launch in western Korea directly from Smilegate However, they've been largely silent regarding communicating with the players ever since. One of the biggest reasons for the game to be so popular that players pushed back about during launch was how closely developers were to the Korean players.


We're getting a lot of this and it doesn't seem that Smilegate is making any efforts to correct this. It's becoming more like we'll be another set of servers which are second in importance in comparison to Korean server.


I believe Smilegate must begin engaging directly with the community in some way and to address the issues that the servers around the world have to face to ensure that players to not abandon the game.


It's not AGS's business It's the game of Smilegate. AGS is, as far as we know, a company's publisher and support for customers.
