Diablo 4 Chain Lightning Sorcerer Leveling Guide

Sorcerer is a magician in Diablo 4, and the chain lightning build of Sorcerer is very rewarding, but it comes with great risk. For benefits, it uses elements such as chaotic lighting magic and mixes them with fire magic to deal some extra damage. In the right hands, the lighting sorcerer can do a lot of damage. It uses raw power to deal with hordes of enemies with a few strikes. They are attacking spell casters that can deal a lot of area-of-effect damage. The cooldown timing of lighting Sorcerer is way much, but you can reduce it to some extent with some special powers.

What is Chain Lightning Build?

This build sends a flash of lightning toward enemies, and this flash jumps between enemies to kill them. This build guide features skill potion allocation, playstyle, rotation, critical strike chances, etc. It is known for dealing with enemy bosses because the flash can jump between the Sorcerer and the enemy many times.

Skill Tree

Here is how you can allocate skill points to get the most out of the chain lightning build. After reaching level fifty, you’ll get forty-eight points, while two more points will be awarded after completing renown in each zone, making the total skill points fifty-eight. Diablo 4 druid leveling build is also available.

Enhancement Slots

When you reach sorcerer level fifteen, specialization will be unlocked. To gain access to the first enhancement slot, you have to complete the legacy of the magi questline quickly. After this, just assign the fireball for group clearing. The second slot unlocks at level thirty, and you can assign chain lighting in this slot.

Stats, Gems, and Gear Choice

For leveling chain lightning sorcerers, rare equipment is required to do upgrades, so pick up all the rare equipment. Extract rare legendary items from the stash and use them with rare items. Compared to wands, two-handed staves are better as they can deal more damage. Here are the best gems that you can socket into gear.

Armor – Socket Ruby for max life.

Jewelry – Socket diamond for resistance, or you can also socket other gems that provides you with resistance.

Weapon – Socket Sapphire to deal critical strike damage to a crow of enemies.

Potions and Elixirs

To get elixirs that boost up stats and experience points, go to the alchemist in the Kyovashad region. Before going to the chemist, get the supplies that you need to craft the elixirs. These supplies generate from time to time on the game map. To upgrade potions, you need to visit the chemist after achieving ten levels.

Rotations and Critical Strike Chance

To deal the most damage to enemies, you should engage with them from a distance and use these skills.

Apply Vulnerable from Mystical Frost Nova after casting Frost Nova near enemies.

Apply Lightning Spear.

If the mana is above fifty, apply chain lighting to use elemental dominance for the highest DPS.

If you’re low on mana, here are the skills that you can use to generate more mana. You can also kill wounded enemies with these skills.

Before casting skills, go to the middle to reduce distance.

Freeze enemies with Frost Nova.

Generate mana by firing frost bolts at frozen enemies. This will finish enemies as frost bolt has a hundred percent chance of killing frozen enemies.

Both enhanced chain lightning and enhanced lightning spear provide a critical strike chance. Level them up as your progress to increase this chance. You can also combine conduction, electrocution, and coursing currents skills to deal more damage.

Has Madden in recent years declined in quality

Has Madden in recent years declined in quality? I've been a dedicated Madden player since the very first installment, and I have many fond memories of the franchise, especially when I was younger. Back then, my skills were impressive enough to amaze my older brother and cousin.

Madden NFL

During those early years, it wasn't just Madden; there was a formidable rival in NFL GameDay. My friends and I would purchase both games because they were evenly matched but offered unique advantages and disadvantages. We'd organize weekend tournaments, and I can't quite recall when GameDay disappeared from the scene, but I vividly remember when Madden took a significant leap.

It was Madden 2001, featuring Titans running back Eddie George on the cover. This installment marked a complete overhaul, making the game incredibly fun and realistic. It introduced a revolutionary change in the fluidity of player movements, setting a new standard. This was essentially the foundation of today's Madden experience. I felt at that moment that no one would ever surpass Madden. Of course, the subsequent Madden editions benefited from the addition of online play.

Around 2009 or 2010, or perhaps even earlier (my memory is hazy), there was another significant upgrade, although not as game-changing as 2001.

I continued playing for several more years, possibly up to 2015. However, it started to feel like the same game every year with updated rosters, a new user interface, and minor additions to the franchise mode. What bothered me most was the lack of focus on improving the AI. Issues like CPU cornerbacks miraculously speeding to the ball when they were 10 yards away from the play, one cornerback seemingly covering a whole quarter of the field even with their backs turned, slight contact causing dropped passes, and the occasional errant throw when a receiver was wide open—these issues stood out. And when I compared this to how the CPU offense played, it left me frustrated. I know there were numerous other quirks, but these are the ones that come to mind.

So, as I mentioned, I hadn't played since 2015 until a couple of weeks ago when my brother convinced me to join him for an online franchise to relive old times. I was hesitant but ultimately gave in since he shared the game with me, making it free. Unsurprisingly, it was the same old game with the same old issues, and here we are in Madden 24.

My point is that we need other football games to compete with Madden, as competition might inspire meaningful improvements. Madden's monopolization of the NFL licensing deal has stifled competition, and that's been detrimental to the franchise. While my interest in football has waned over the years, I still hope Madden can recapture the magic it had in 2001 and genuinely elevate the game.

My memory was jogged by another incident today. I was at the opponent's 1-inch line with Etienne, who has 95 speed. I ran a dive play to the strong side, and it seemed like I had an easy touchdown. But suddenly, the MLB from the weak side, who had also shifted to that side, rocketed across the screen to tackle me at the 1-yard line. This didn't seem right, so I checked his stats—he had 81 speed and 84 acceleration. Why?

Why can't the game let players perform according to their stats? It feels like they boost the CPU to artificially increase difficulty or make games closer. I know people have been complaining about these issues for years, but it appears the developers aren't attentive to the community's feedback, and that's disappointing.

New World: Do you folks have all the perks memorized

Do you folks have all the perks memorized? How do you distinguish the Best in Slot (BiS) from less valuable ones? I'm curious how some people can seemingly glance at a piece of gear and instantly say, "that's BiS," after only a brief inspection of the perks.

New World PvE gear 1

I recently reached level 65 and began the journey to acquire BiS gear for myself. Until then, I didn't pay much attention to gear or perks. The sheer number of perks is quite overwhelming for me.

Whenever I obtain a new item, I find myself repeatedly referring back to the database and meticulously examining every perk in the same category to determine its quality. Many times, I find myself uncertain about which perks are better.

I also fear that I might discard some gear with certain perks that may not suit my current build but could be perfect for a specific type of content that I'm unaware of. This has led to me hoarding a pile of gear and weapons that I'm reluctant to salvage.

Is there an easier way to instinctively recognize what qualifies as good gear and what doesn't? Perhaps some sort of chart or guideline - I don't know. Someone mentioned that...

Gear designed for PvP tends to sell best on most servers, while some PvE gear can fetch decent prices but with less frequency. Here's a breakdown of the top PvP perks:

Armor:

    Health

    Freedom

    Shirking Fortification

    Shirking Heals

    Enchanted Ward

Grit Ward (mainly for heavy armor)

Elemental Harnessing (primarily for light armor)

A beneficial weapon perk with the right stat on the armor (e.g., Refreshing Pillar of Fire on a piece with Intelligence)

    Refreshing

    Elemental Aversion

Jewelry has some semi-mandatory perks to be considered good:

Earring:

    Refreshing Toast (semi-mandatory)

    Refreshing

    Healing Heart

    Regenerating

    Nimble

    Healthy Toast

Amulet (less sought after due to Ankh):

    Health (semi-mandatory)

    Stamina Recovery (semi-mandatory)

    Refreshing

    Divine

    Refreshing Recovery

    Shirking DoT Cleanse

    Shirking Debilitate Cleanse

Ring:

    Hearty (mandatory)

    Sacred (mandatory for healers)

Most other perks are valuable, except Luck; if there's a damage perk, it should align with the ring's attribute

New World PvE gear 2

Weapons are trickier because they vary significantly from weapon to weapon. Vicious is generally good, attunement is typically valuable, keenly jagged, empowered, and speed are often beneficial. I recommend leaving behind useful gear and racking up more New World Gold coins, just in case.
